OK...so yes...I have been busy. I could come up with a ton of excuses...but in the end...I've just been a flaky blogger. It's not like I haven't been crafting or making things...I just haven't found...no..scratch that...I haven't made the time to post. So, this is me..making up for lost time.
I've included Halloween decor. Some home made and some not, a few Halloween party pictures and a buffet tablet too, complete with gruesome choices to feed the witches and goblins.
Finally there are a couple of Harvest Festival photos thrown in as well!
The beginning of the post though is...my newly found passion for Home decor...OMG..I spend way to much time..daily stalking home decor blogs. Let me just say ..you women are beyond amazing! I...am...in..awe...and you have all inspired me!
Tonight's blog is a link to one of those very blogs, A Soft Place to Land and a shout out to all the gorgeous burlap (yep....burlap) projects out there. La*t*Da posted a tutorial on burlap..and I could hardly wait to give it a go. I got my trusty cricut machine out and cut out my designs on freezer paper, ironed them onto the burlap and ...spray painted away...right on the burlap. EASY PEASY! The frame is the same one I used for the spider wall decor below. The frame was white and I spray painted in with the infamous Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint. The pillow was even easier. Yes...it did involve sewing...but because there is no wrong side to burlap, I didn't even have to turn it inside out. Just sew, stuff and go! I am linking this to A Soft Place to land ( My first DIY project...eek!)

We don't seem to have Halloween as much as y'all in the States and I've no children so it's not the same for me... Love your apothecary bottles though and the picture under the "time with family" quote is stunning x Thanks for sharing your prep for Halloween. October is not too far away....
