Wild Orchid Crafts–Bling it Up Challenge

Hi there and a Happy Monday to you! I hope you had wonderful weekend. Mine was a little on the shaky side. LOL Friday night started out with a nice sized earthquake, not too far away and thing haven’t quite stood entirely still ever since. Thankfully, we are all fine. Just part of the “fun” in California, right? Winking smile

It’s time for a new challenge at Wild Orchid Crafts and this time, Bev is asking us to Bling it Up. For my project, I purchased a plain wooden frame from my local craft store, painted it, added distress inks and lots of glitter and ended up with lots and lots of bling.

A Creative Romance–Spring Flowers Challenge

Hello friends!! This month at A Creative Romance we are looking for projects with Spring Flowers in mind. We are also, fortunate enough to be sponsored by Aurora Wings!

After much hemming and hawing and fretting over which one to pick, because they are ALL so beautiful…I've chosen the lovely Gardenia. to play with! She was so fun and of course, I had to color her in lavenders and lilacs.

My papers are a mix of different ones and I even made one too, using Distress Inks and background stamps. At least I know of I ever run out of purple papers…I can make my own, right? Winking smile

Don’t you love a sketch challenge? I know I do. Every week, Papertake Weekly, of course… has a really fun challenge of one type or the other…and one of those challenges each month is always a great sketch challenge. For me, a sketch challenge is a great jumping off point and I always find them inspiring too. Plus, it’s always so fun to see what the Papertake girls do every week, isn’t it?

Papertake Weekly–For Mum Challenge

Today’s challenge over at Papertake Weekly is a card for Mum. With Mother’s Day not too far off, this should be a super easy challenge, but for me, if was even easier, since It was my Mom’s Birthday on Sunday, the 16th. My beautiful Mom turned 84 and not a day goes by that I am not aware of how blessed I am to have her in my life. She is and always has been everything a girl could ask for and I love her so very, very much!

By the way, I know you’re wondering how my Mom could have a 26 year old daughter…and all I can say is…just go with it. Winking smile

For my card, I’ve chosen this sweet image from Lili of the Valley, A Special Gift along with the FAB sentiment set, Simply Sophisticated, that I won from Lili of the Valley!! WHOOT!! I also used lots and lots of lilacs and lavender Maja Designs papers on this card, in particular, because, just like me, these are Mom’s favorite colors.

I saw a sentiment on Pinterest that I thought was perfect for the inside sentiment of Mom’s card.
