For my Holiday Tag, I cut a wine bottle tag out on my Silhouette and made a holiday scene right on to it using the totally adorable Tilda with Little Rudolph, from the 2012 A Christmas Story Collection. However…I placed my tag onto a yummy bottle of Peppermint syrup from Starbucks. Did you know you can buy the syrup right in the Starbucks Store? And..It is very reasonably priced too. I placed it in a gift basket, along with a couple of mugs, and all the ingredients for making my favorite holiday beverage, a Peppermint Mocha along with a recipe card too.

 I even tucked a few candy canes into the tag to to be used as stir sticks.

PaperPlay Color Challenge

This weeks Paperplay Challenge is a Green, Pink and Cream Color Challenge.  For my card,  I didn’t have to look far for papers that would inspire me.   They were already all over my craft desk. since I just finished my Magnolia-licious Pink Color Challenge.  LOL!

For the last few years,  I’ve really enjoyed making Christmas cards with non-traditional colors.  There is just something fresh and fun about using pastels for Christmas.  The Be Merry Papers from My Mind’s Eye are perfect for this challenge too and I thoroughly enjoyed coloring Penelope from Kraftin’ Kimmie  in pink..

I’m dreaming of a pink Christmas!

 

I LOVE the inspiration photo chosen by my super sweet design team sister Eulanda, don’t you? I think It would be so fun to go with a pink Christmas theme…
Pretty sure the hubs would not be too thrilled though.

I was...however, tickled pink….to be able to play with Tilda with Big Bouquet from The Christmas Story Collection for the Magnolia-licious Photo Inspiration Challenge.  Does she look familiar to you colored like this? Kraftin’ Kimmie November Peeks - Day 1

Well, it's that time again!! Time for lots of wonderful NEW STAMPS at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! Get ready for our NOVEMBER 2012 RELEASE!!!!!
We are kicking off the *New* NOVEMBER Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our…. 

TRAVEL TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the TRAVEL Trinkets set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.
A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations or to use as the focal point on your cards! They are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! No stamper's stash is complete without them!

I knew the moment I saw these Travel Trinkets exactly how I wanted to play with them!   They make the perfect sentiment for little Travel Albums..and I think I might just have to tuck them in someone’s stocking for Christmas!

I chose an album file from the Silhouette store and believe it or not, some travel themed paper from my stash and put these together in no time!  Each one has a Velcro closure hidden behind the flap.  I heat embossed the Travel Trinket Sentiments,  punched them out with a circular punch…and don't look now... I think I have two little gifts checked off Christmas List!

What’s Cookin Good Lookin?

This week our wonderfully talented Krafty Girl Kerry has challenged us to make something with a food or drink theme. There are tons and tons of Krafty stamps that are perfect for this, 

but I had to narrow it down, right?

PaperPlay Thanks a Bunch Challenge

Sometimes…You just need a  special way to say thank you…so instead of making a thank you card…I thought I would put together something fun.

My “flower pot” is just a Tea Light Cover from the Silhouette Store. I just lined it with coordinating cardstock and cut a border strip to fit around it.

My sentiment is from the Kraftin’ Kimmie Everyday Trinkets set.  Kimmie’s Trinkets sets are seriously so perfect for every occasion!
