Happy It’s almost Friday Day!

Over at PaperPlay Challenges the Design Team has challenged you to create a card with the sentiment as the main focus…..and hmmmm…another card out of my comfort zone. I did a bit of die cutting on my Cameo, stamped my sentiment and used foam adhesive to pop the top layer up, giving the card bit more dimension. The butterfly is from the PTI’s Pretty Peonies set and the sentiment, also PTI is from the Half and Half stamp set. My flowers are of course, Wild Orchid Crafts and the paper is from my stash.

Sometime...you just have to go for it.

The challenge for The Little Darlings Design Team this month has been to inspire you with something other than a square or rectangle card. This challenge really gave us all the opportunity to jump out of out comfort zone and have some fun, so….I did! Smile

After cutting my card base and all the round layers out on my Cameo, I simply folded the card base in half, making my card base into half circle. From there I just layered my card with some fun papers sent to me by Angie! She’s a sweetheart, isn’t she?! I ended with sort of a half-circle-tent card.

It was such fun coloring the LDSC image Windy Day!! These images are AMAZING to color and and a dream to stamp!!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Release day!!

OMG!…OMG!…OMG!!! Today is THE day!!!!

Today…is Release day and on Release Day the Krafty Girls like to Celebrate…with a HOP! Over the last few days, the Krafty Girls have shown you sneak peaks of the brand new, awesome and totally adorable Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps being released. Today, I am sharing with you two projects that I made with the adorable Halloween Lulu set, designed by the incredibly talented Cheryl Alger. This set comes with 3 darling Halloween images and 4 sentiments to match. The sentiments in this set would also be perfect to use alone on a tag and tucked into a Halloween treat. In fact, the possibilities are endless! Obviously, I had so much fun with the images in this set…I had trouble stopping myself. Aren’t they the sweetest little trick or treaters…ever?

For my second project, I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween Shadow box, I cut everything out on my Cameo.

Kraftin’ Kimmie Sneak Peaks ~ Day 2

Yea!!! My very first release with Kraftin’ Kimmie! This release is going to be so much fun! I know that I find myself smiling every time I see these ghoulish little faces!

Today, I have a brand new, frightfully fun Lulu for you. Frank’n Lulu is just one of 3 stamps from the all new Halloween Lulu set, from illustrator Cheryl Alger. All of the stamps in this set have the the same spooky theme along with perfectly adorable sentiments to match. I honestly…got such a kick out coloring her a fun Frankenstein green.

Kraftin’ Kimmie ~ Sneak Peaks Day 1

The Krafty Girls have been waiting for this release ALL YEAR!!! It's time for our August release and if you're a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps fan, you know what that means!!! It's time for HALLOWEEN!!!!! We are kicking off the *New* AUGUST Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps previews today and first off, we’d like to introduce you to another new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our….

HALLOWEEN TRINKETS!!!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!

This month we are releasing the HALLOWEEN TRINKETS set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set with four of each size and they come as both positive and negative images, so you can use your black or brown ink with the positive stamps and use your coloured inks with the negative ones!!
A lot of the Krafty Girls are cardmakers and we have found these to be such a quick and easy way to add a sentiment to our creations but they are also perfect for your Smashbook pages and your scrapbook pages, not to mention your altered items and tags!! Can't you just see these hanging from your spooky treat bags!!!?!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Animal Challenge

Happy Saturday to you all! I hope…where ever you are the weather is fine. Our Kraftin’ Kimmie hostess for the week is the amazingly talented Angie…and she has asked us to create a card with an animal or an insect. I chose to use the sweet Calliope and Calliope is a mermaid and a mermaid is an animal, right?….Right? Well, If nothing else, she’s half fish, so…at the very least, I’m half right.

Also, our Kraftin’ Kimmie hostess, Angie chose to use the bears from the Lots of Love 2 set. Typically, Kimmie gives the stamp that the hostess uses on her card away to the winner of the challenge….BUT…not this week. Nope. Kimmie, who is always very generous, is feeling even more generous today!! She’s giving the entire Lots of Love 2 set away! Is that Kimmie fabulous, or what? Totally out of my Comfort Zone…

Hello crafty peeps! Today, Paper Play Challenges is asking us to create shaped cards. Easy, yes? Well yes…but…that was not the hard part for me. HA! The hard part for me, always…is trying to make a clean and simple card. NO matter…how hard I try…it just doesn’t happen. What can I say…I’m just a fussy girl. LOL
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make my shaped card, and even created a few layers too. My sentiment and stamped images are all Papertrey Ink.

Kraftin’ Kimmie Out of the Box Challenge

I’m just going to come right out and say it. I LOVE LULU.

Isn’t she so precious..Just look at that face!

So, our hostess with this mostest, Kerry had requested that we use the Out of the Box technique on our cards for this week’s challenge. Since so many of the Kraftin’ Kimmie images lend themselves to this technique so well, this should be a walk in the park.

For my card, I just stamped Lulu from the Lulu on the Move set twice, snipped off her legs (shudder) and added a second set, so that it would look just like I’d successfully attempted the Out of the Box technique. Winking smile
