Totally out of my Comfort Zone…

P1040724

Hello crafty peeps! Today, Paper Play Challenges is asking us to create shaped cards. Easy, yes? Well yes…but…that was not the hard part for me. HA! The hard part for me, always…is trying to make a clean and simple card. NO matter…how hard I try…it just doesn’t happen. What can I say…I’m just a fussy girl. LOL
I used my Silhouette Cameo to make my shaped card,  and even created a few layers too. My sentiment and stamped images are all Papertrey Ink.

So now…the challenge is yours.  Join us over at Paper Play Challenges, create a shaped card and make it as fussy and fancy as you want! Winking smile

I hope to see you there! Thank you so much for dropping by!!

Pajama Party and a few Papertry Ink In the Meadow Christmas Cards

225_1 (3)-1

Our family had our 2nd Annual Week before Christmas Pajama Party last weekend. Super comfy and relaxing and pretty darn hysterical too. Check out my brother in the Sock Monkey pj’s in the back row, complete with Sock Monkey feet too, of course.  I was there when he tried those things on. He even came out of the dressing room to show us!!!  That photo shoot nearly ended up on YouTube…but I behaved….

Here’s a photo of my daughter’s newest addition to her family too. A gorgeous mini Golden Doodle. Her name is Bella…and she could not be anymore precious!

On to the Christmas Cards…which are pretty much all Papertrey Ink.

The Papertry Ink, In the Meadow dies were used for silhouettes.

Scrappy Frogs Use Red Challenge

Good Golly! It’s not wrong to  love a set of stamps, is it? The stamps that Papertrey Ink came out with last month…made my toes curl….in a very  good way, mind you! The first set is Garden Variety and it includes a bunch of fun Seed Packet options along with gardening tools and gloves. The second set is Year of Flowers. That set has all of Papertrey Inks Year of Flower stamps…but in mini versions!!!

Papertrey Ink actually had a seed packet die, but it wasn’t in stock when I placed my order soooooooo…I got my Cricut out again (that’s twice this month) and used the Crayon Box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More to make a Seed Packet, which I am soooooo cleverly using as a gift card holder! I know..I’m such a smarty pants! Smile PTI Garden Variety Gift Card Holder
Please do not forget to head over to the Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT has for inspiration and to enter the challenge…of course. :)

MSL Anything Goes and a Maggie?

Does it get any easier people? I think not… I had fun putting Hello Little Butterfly into a scene I created with two digital images from Make it Crafty. I think I might be nursing a new addiction. So lets see…Magnolias, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts…and digital images from Make it Crafty and just a little but of Papertrey Ink thrown in. That about covers it. Yeah…right. ; )

The Scrappy Frogs Challenge this time around is Birthday. I started out knowing I wanted to use my Papertrey Ink background stamp, Newsprint…because I love this set so much!
Anyhoo….I got busy making the above card…but when I finished it up…it just didn’t grab me… so, I thought I’d better sleep on it.  When I woke up this morning…played around a bit more and came up with this, instead…but I’m still not quite sure. Holey moley!

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday!

SSCC Pastel Challenge

P1000688 copy It’s been a little while since I’ve played around with making a hand crafted flower…but once I picked up a couple of the Mc Gill Flower Punches….I couldn’t put them down… and then….I really couldn’t wait to show you what I came up with. The details in the punches for each petal are what really sets these flowers apart.

After I punched the petals and leaves, I added a bit of ink to each petal. When I had the flower assembled, I added a tiny but of Glossy Accents to the edges of the flowers petals and then sprinkled it with Twinklets Diamond Dust. The Mc Gill Flower Punches are available at Stamping Scrapping, along with a very simple and easy to follow video tutorial.

For my image, using the SSD Beaded Ovals set from Stamping Scrapping, I stamped and heat embossed a border for my sentiment from Papertey Ink.

I love, love, love the dimension in this flower!
